Instruction to Author

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Manuscripts will be subjected to peer review process to determine their suitability for publication provided they fulfill the requirements of the journal as laid out in the instructions to authors. The review must be in three times. Each time will be reviewed one by one after confirming the reviewer report. After the review, manuscripts will be returned for revision along with reviewer’s and/or editor’s comments.

Prepare the manuscript in Cambria of 12 font size. There shall not be any decorative borders anywhere in the text including the title page.
All the tables and figures should be in the text at suitable place.

Submission of a manuscript to International Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical analysis for publication implies that the same work has not been either published or under consideration for publication in another Journal. Authors, in their cover note to the Editor, have to clearly mention whether the manuscript shall be considered as a Research Paper, Short Communication or Review Article (mentioned left hand side beginning with the title page) and also confirm that the manuscript has not been submitted to any other Journal for publication.

Authors publishing results from in vivo experiments involving animals or humans should state whether due permission for conduction of these experiments was obtained, from the relevant ethics committees, in the Materials and Methods section. In addition, authors wishing to publish research work involving human studies should also send a notary verified letter of approval from the Ethics Committee or the Institutional Review Board.

Manuscript should be divided into:

  • Title page
  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results, Discussion or Results and Discussion
  • Conclusions
  • Acknowledgements
  • References
  • Tables and Figures.

Author, have to clearly mention on the top of left hand side beginning with the title page as a Research Paper, Short Communication or Review Article and also confirm that the manuscript has not been submitted to any other Journal for publication.

TITLE PAGE - should contain the title of the manuscript, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s), and the mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of the corresponding author. The title must be specific, concise and informative.

Title should be 12 (Cambria (style)) font size and bold. Number pages consecutively on right hand lower side beginning with the title page.

ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS – Start on new page and Full-length manuscript submission should contain an abstract of up to 250 words in a structured form which consisting of Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusion. (Cambria of 12 font size double space)

 KEYWORDS -  Include 3-6 keywords for indexing purposes.

INTRODUCTION - provides a concise research background (not an extensive review) and states in single sentence the objective of the study. Please do not include any results or the conclusions of the study.

MATERIALS AND METHODS - start as a continuation to introduction on the same page. All important materials used along with their source main methods used shall be briefly described; citing references.All the ethical permission associated in the research work must be specified. It should provide technical information about the study. Published methodological details are not needed to describe that have been published previously. New methods or substantially modified sufficient detail. Specifications (including the manufacturer, city, and the country) should be given for the main drugs, chemicals, and instruments. Indicate the statistical methods used and identify statistical significance using superscripts (* and **) following the data (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01).

RESULTS - Results section shall start after materials and methods section on the same page. It should elaborate the findings of works. The results may be presented in tables, figures or schemes, which must be referred to in the accompanying text, using appropriate numbering. Tables should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and the number should be followed by a brief descriptive caption, occupying not more than two lines, at the head of the table. Figures must be presented on separate pages in consecutive order using Arabic numerals. Each figure should be provided with an instructive title and explanatory information. The legend should be typed separately from the figures. Figures, photographs or computer drawn figures should be original, and of high quality, ready for direct reproduction. Figure legends/captions should be consistent with terminology or nomenclature used in the labeling of the Figures. Tables, figures and legends should not have frame around. Statistical tests of significance should be performed where appropriate indicating p values.

DISCUSSION - It should be with the interpretation of the results and their comparison with those of other studies.

CONCLUSIONS - Conclude the study linking back to the aim of the study.

AKNOWLEDGEMENT - All acknowledgments should be typed in one paragraph directly preceding the reference section.

CONTRIBUTION DETAILS - Contributors should provide a description of contributions made by each of them towards the manuscript. Description should be divided in following applicable: concept, design, definition of intellectual content, literature search, experimental studies, data acquisition, data analysis, statistical preparation, manuscript editing and manuscript review. One or more author should take responsibility for the integrity of the work as a whole published article and should be designated as 'guarantor/corresponding author'.

CONFLICTS OF INTEREST/ COMPETING INTERESTS - All authors of manuscript must disclose any and all conflicts of interest they may have with publication of the manuscript or an institution or in the manuscript and/or is important to the outcome of the study presented. Authors should also disclose conflict of interest with products that mentioned in their manuscript.

REFERENCES - Should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text (not in alphabetic order). Identify references Arabic numerals in superscript in square brackets. The references should be cited according to the "Vancouver Style". The titles of journals should be abbreviated according to the style used in Index Medicus. Personal communications and other unpublished and non archival references should not be included in the reference list.

SYMBOLS AND ABBREVIATIONS - Unless specified otherwise, all temperatures are understood to be in degrees centigrade and need not be Abbreviations should be those well known in scientific literature. In vitro, in vivo, in situ, ex vivo, ad libitum, et al. and so on are two words in italics. None of the above is a hyphenated word. All foreign language (other than English) names and words shall be in italics as a general carrageenan-induced inflammation, paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity, isoproterenol-induced myocardial necrosis, dose-dependent manner.

Biological nomenclature - Names of plants, animals and bacteria should be in italics.

Enzyme nomenclature - The trivial names recommended by the IUPAC-IUB Commission should be used. When the enzyme is the main subject and systematic name should be stated at its first citation in the paper.

COPYRIGHT AND PERMISSION - Submission is a representation that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors would be required to sign a form (to be supplied by the Editor) transferring copyright before the manuscript can be published.
